Full Time Faculty Assistant/Associate Professor – Master of Social Work

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, evaluate, and instruct online courses for the Social Work programs.

• Ensure courses are aligned with program outcomes and accreditation requirements.

• Provide mentorship and support to students, adjunct faculty, staff, and other program stakeholders.

• Engage in service to the discipline, profession, and institution, which includes committee participation and community involvement.

• Exhibit professional and collegial behavior with faculty, staff, and university leadership.

• Assist in program development, assessment, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Execute additional duties and projects as assigned in collaboration with the Dean.

⛳️ Requirements

• Obtained a Doctorate (PhD, DSW, or a closely related field) in Social Work or a related discipline from an accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion by the start date.

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.

• At least two (2) years of professional practice experience in social work post-MSW.

• Experience in higher education teaching, preferably in online asynchronous formats.

• Strong commitment to student-centered teaching and support for a diverse adult learner population.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.

• Proven expertise in developing and delivering engaging, current, and market-relevant curriculum, assessments, and learning activities in an online-first LMS.

• Experience using data-informed strategies to enhance student success and retention.

• Ability to collaborate and engage collegially with faculty, staff, students, and professionals across disciplines.

• Dedicated to fostering a workplace culture rooted in respect, openness, and constructive dialogue.

• Must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Wisconsin.

• Availability for collaboration during core hours from 9am to 2pm PST.
