Full-Stack Software Engineer – Node.js, React, Flutter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain application functionalities utilizing Node.js, React, and Flutter.

• Create and uphold RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.

• Develop responsive and user-friendly components for web applications using React.

• Engage in cross-platform mobile application development leveraging Flutter and Dart.

• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.

• Diagnose and resolve issues across backend, web, and mobile applications.

• Establish and uphold unit and integration tests.

• Take part in code reviews and provide constructive insights.

• Collaborate with engineers, product team members, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective technical solutions.

• Participate in technical discussions, project planning, and development estimations.

• Utilize modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding utilities, to enhance productivity and code quality.

• Keep abreast of relevant technologies and development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional experience with Node.js or a similar backend technology.

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.

• Proficient knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of server-side architecture, middleware, and backend frameworks such as Express.js or Fastify.

• At least two years of professional experience with React.js.

• Knowledge of React Hooks, component-based development, and contemporary React patterns.

• Familiarity with Redux or Context API.

• Comprehension of responsive web development and user-interface best practices.

• Experience with Flutter, React Native, or another cross-platform mobile development framework.

• Understanding of mobile application development concepts and lifecycle.

• Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and related testing frameworks.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Familiarity with modern development tools, IDEs, and build processes.

• Ability to manage assigned development tasks independently while effectively collaborating with the wider team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• Three to five years of professional software development experience.

• Experience in a collaborative software development setting.

• Proven ability to contribute to moderately complex development projects.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and work across backend, web, and mobile applications.

• Preferred: hands-on experience in developing production mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.

• Preferred: experience with AWS cloud services.

• Preferred: familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.

• Preferred: experience working with microservices architecture.

• Preferred: understanding of mobile application deployment processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Preferred: experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment.

• Preferred: familiarity with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.

• Preferred: exposure to LLM APIs, AWS Bedrock, prompt engineering, AI agent frameworks, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation.

• Preferred: experience contributing to technical documentation or informally mentoring less-experienced developers.
