Full-Stack Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create and develop RESTful Node APIs, React front-end applications, and/or React Native mobile applications.

• Consistently deliver functional software utilizing trunk-based development, automated testing frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Integrate requirements for performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security, and accessibility.

• Work collaboratively with various disciplines to foster effective working relationships.

• Develop a mutual understanding of user requirements along with Kooth’s business and operational objectives.

• Enhance knowledge of software engineering industry trends and best practices through pair or mob programming and knowledge sharing activities.

• Participate in the out-of-hours on-call response rotation.

• Passion for software engineering across the entire technology stack.

• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to contribute to technical decisions.

• Some familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Understanding of database technologies such as PostgreSQL.

• Experience in delivering either web or native mobile applications.

• A commitment to quality and knowledge of maintainable, well-tested code practices.

• Pragmatic approach to delivery with an ability to take appropriate ownership.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies, data-informed development, and reliability principles.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish relationships with colleagues across different disciplines.

• Experience in web or mobile application development using React or React Native (preferred).

• Familiarity with trunk-based development, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code (preferred).

• Interest and curiosity regarding application design and architecture patterns (preferred).

• Experience in a cloud-native environment such as GCP or AWS with Kubernetes (preferred).

• Successful completion of a DBS check.
