Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop features for both the internal dashboard and the customer-facing portal, encompassing design, testing, and deployment.

• Engage directly with partnerships, solutions, and sales teams to assess workflows and transform friction points into functional features.

• Create user interfaces, focusing on layout, hierarchy, interaction, as well as handling empty, loading, and error states.

• Construct catalog and solutions workflows for sample creation, customer access management, and export delivery.

• Develop customer-facing experiences for browsing, streaming, and evaluating multimodal samples.

• Implement playback, preview, and file-handling user experience for content stored across various buckets.

• Design user interfaces for embedding-based search functionalities across extensive catalogs of clips.

• Extend and utilize API routes through Next.js route handlers, Postgres, and AWS.

• Manage sensitive data with scoped access, secure sharing links, and routes that are PHI-aware.

• Contribute to the collective design system and component library, and generate tests.

• Launch initial features, understand user workflows, and map the catalog domain within the first 30 days.

• Take ownership of well-defined features from start to finish and establish yourself as the primary engineer for a specific area by day 60.

• Independently deliver a significant feature and enhance shared UI components or testing methodologies by 90 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in building production web applications that are crucial for real users.

• Proficient in TypeScript and React, with experience using Next.js or a similar full-stack framework.

• Demonstrated experience delivering user-facing features from start to finish, including UI, API, data modeling, and testing.

• Ability to transform rough concepts into polished, user-friendly interfaces with strong design sensibility.

• Comfortable working across the technology stack, including Postgres and AWS cloud services.

• Proactively identify and resolve confusing or slow workflows.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

• Possess curiosity and a proactive mindset.

• Nice to have: experience with browser media playback, including HTML5 video/audio, HLS, containers, and codecs.

• Nice to have: experience in building search or data-intensive interfaces over large datasets.

• Nice to have: a portfolio, side projects, or completed work that showcases UI expertise.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Clerk authentication and permission modeling.

• Nice to have: experience with sensitive or regulated data, including HIPAA and PHI.
