This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and established software engineering methodologies.
• Create contemporary web applications using React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive designs, and accessible interaction patterns.
• Develop and utilize REST APIs following an API-first approach.
• Ensure clear OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and effective error handling.
• Architect modular and maintainable solutions employing microservices and object-oriented as well as event-driven design principles.
• Leverage Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.
• Design and optimize data models and queries in PostgreSQL.
• Implement integrations with both internal and external systems through REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and other integration methodologies.
• Containerize applications and contribute to cloud deployment patterns, configuration management, and consistent environments.
• Construct and maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines featuring automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployments.
• Instrument applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.
• Diagnose functional and production issues while enhancing application performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and fellow engineers through design sessions, code reviews, planning, and ongoing improvement.
• A minimum of 5 years of full-stack software development experience, including managing production applications.
• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, especially Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.
• Solid frontend development expertise with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and modern testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.
• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications within distributed environments.
• Proficient SQL skills and experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.
• Exceptional communication abilities, including producing clear technical documentation and leading client-facing workshops.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API design principles.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.
• Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) applications or integrations with WFM platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is advantageous.
• Experience in developing applications for customer experience (CX) solutions, contact centers, or customer service environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, adherence, routing, agent desktop, digital channels, or related operational concepts is a plus.
• Experience in integrating applications with CRM, identity, HR, payroll, analytics, or other enterprise systems is desirable.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot, is a bonus.
