Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and best software engineering practices.

• Create modern web applications employing React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive layouts, and accessible interaction patterns.

• Develop and utilize REST APIs following an API-first methodology.

• Maintain clear OpenAPI/Swagger specifications along with effective error handling.

• Design modular and maintainable solutions utilizing microservices alongside object-oriented and event-driven design principles.

• Leverage Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries ensuring integrity, performance, and audit history.

• Implement integrations with both internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and other integration strategies.

• Containerize applications and contribute to cloud-based deployment patterns, configuration management, and environmental consistency.

• Build and uphold Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines featuring automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployments.

• Instrument applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.

• Diagnose functional and production issues.

• Enhance application performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and engineering teams through design sessions, code reviews, planning, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of full-stack software development experience, including ownership of production applications.

• Strong practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, especially Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.

• Solid frontend development experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and contemporary testing practices.

• Familiarity with Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.

• Demonstrated experience in designing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications in distributed settings.

• Strong SQL abilities and experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.

• Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to produce clear technical documentation and lead client-facing workshops.

• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API design practices.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery methodologies.

• Experience with WFM application or platform integration is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS services and Amazon Connect is a plus.

• Experience with CX, contact center, voice infrastructure, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Twilio, or similar communications platforms is a plus.

• Knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, adherence, routing, agent desktop, digital channels, or related operational concepts is a plus.

• Experience integrating CRM, identity, HR, payroll, analytics, or other enterprise systems is a plus.

• Practical experience in AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled solutions, including Claude or GitHub Copilot, is an advantage.
