Full Stack Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and best software engineering practices.

• Create modern web applications employing React, TypeScript, reusable components, responsive designs, and accessible interaction patterns.

• Develop and consume REST APIs with an API-first approach; manage OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and error handling.

• Contribute to modular and maintainable solutions through microservices and object-oriented and event-driven design patterns.

• Utilize Node.js for lightweight services, backend-for-frontend components, integrations, or development tools.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models and queries to ensure integrity, performance, and audit history.

• Implement and support integrations with both internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, messaging, and various integration patterns.

• Containerize applications and assist in cloud-based deployment strategies, configuration management, and maintaining environment consistency.

• Build and sustain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines featuring automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable deployment processes.

• Instrument applications with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable error reporting.

• Diagnose functional and production issues, enhancing performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other engineers through design sessions, code reviews, planning, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, including contributions to production applications.

• Practical experience with Java and Spring technologies, particularly Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security, and automated testing.

• Frontend development experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management, and contemporary testing practices.

• Familiarity with Node.js for lightweight services, integrations, build tools, or supporting components.

• Experience in developing REST APIs, microservices, and maintainable applications in distributed settings.

• Strong SQL capabilities and experience in designing efficient data models in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in developing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based and containerized applications.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and engage in client-facing workshops.

• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API design practices.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging and event-streaming technologies.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability tools, and secure software delivery practices.
