Full Stack Engineer – Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable, secure software solutions while providing technical leadership.

• Mentor engineering teams, perform code reviews, and establish best practices in engineering.

• Create and develop contemporary React applications that integrate with Java Spring Boot services.

• Construct responsive interfaces for desktops, rugged tablets, and handheld devices used in Army settings.

• Design, deploy, and uphold secure applications and APIs within Microsoft Azure.

• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for developing scalable, mission-critical systems.

• Incorporate passive and active RFID technologies, handheld scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.

• Support logistics, inventory management, and asset visibility for the Army.

• Work closely with Army stakeholders, program offices, and end users to gather requirements and validate technical solutions.

• Deliver solutions that operate reliably within the Army's enterprise network environments.

• Develop solutions across secure DoD infrastructures, addressing cybersecurity, performance, reliability, and interoperability.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine requirements, estimate workloads, manage backlogs, and oversee sprint execution and production deployments.

• Partner with software engineers, UX designers, systems engineers, infrastructure teams, and government stakeholders from conception through fielding.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in delivering enterprise applications.

• Proven experience in leading development teams and mentoring engineers.

• Extensive expertise in React, Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs.

• Experience with application deployment in Microsoft Azure.

• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Active Security+ certification is required.

• Familiarity with Army or DoD enterprise network environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and customer engagement experience.

• Experience in leading agile teams and managing backlogs.

• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders, inspiring teams, and advocating for the product.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain a Secret clearance; an active clearance is preferred.

• CKAD certification or equivalent is preferred as an additional qualification.

• Experience in developing applications for tablets, handhelds, and mobile devices is a preferred bonus.

• Experience in integrating RFID devices, barcode scanners, and peripheral hardware is a preferred bonus.

• A proven history of delivering solutions in DoD or similarly complex environments is a preferred bonus.
