Full-Stack Engineer, Kotlin, TypeScript, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Update and enhance outdated libraries, dependencies, and frameworks to ensure the application remains stable and secure.

• Increase and broaden unit test coverage throughout the application.

• Conduct thorough testing of the system to confirm stability and functionality following upgrades.

• Identify and rectify issues arising from changes in dependencies or frameworks.

• Collaborate with the client's engineering team to synchronize priorities and track progress.

• Perform a balanced mix of backend and frontend work, with a slight emphasis on backend coding within the application.

• Assist in end-of-life maintenance tasks for an application that must continue functioning beyond its expected timeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with a minimum of B2 level (+90%).

• Over 4 years of experience in full-stack development.

• Strong expertise in backend development using Kotlin and Gradle.

• Solid frontend development experience with TypeScript and React.

• Experience in upgrading libraries/dependencies and migrating framework versions.

• A thorough understanding of unit testing principles along with experience in writing and maintaining tests.

• Capability to work independently and quickly familiarize oneself with an existing codebase.

• Experience with end-of-life or legacy modernization projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous.

• Experience working within small, agile teams is beneficial.
