Full-Stack Engineer, Kotlin, TypeScript, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Revise and enhance outdated libraries, dependencies, and frameworks to ensure the application remains stable and secure.

• Increase and broaden unit test coverage throughout the application.

• Conduct thorough testing of the system to confirm stability and functionality following upgrades.

• Detect and resolve issues that may arise from changes in dependencies or frameworks.

• Collaborate with the client's engineering team to synchronize priorities and track progress.

• Assist with end-of-life maintenance tasks on an application that needs to stay operational longer than initially expected.

• Engage equally in backend and frontend code development, with a slight preference for backend tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and oral, with a minimum of B2 level (90%+ proficiency).

• Over 4 years of experience in full-stack development.

• Strong backend development skills in Kotlin and Gradle.

• Proficient frontend development experience with TypeScript and React.

• Familiarity with upgrading libraries/dependencies and migrating framework versions.

• Deep understanding of unit testing principles and experience in writing and maintaining tests.

• Capable of working independently and quickly acclimating to an existing codebase.

• Preferred: Experience with end-of-life (EOL) or legacy modernization projects.

• Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating within small, agile teams.

• Required skills/experience: Kotlin, Gradle, TypeScript, React, unit testing, dependency/framework upgrades, and experience with legacy codebases.
