Full Stack Engineer – JavaScript/TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain software utilizing JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js

• Engage directly with vanilla JavaScript, the DOM, and browser APIs

• Develop and sustain plugin and configuration systems

• Collaborate on third-party script integrations across commercial and advertising platforms

• Contribute to browser-level functionality, encompassing DOM manipulation, scheduling, and brokers

• Integrate analytics and consent management systems

• Play a role in the development and modernization of high-traffic production platforms

• Assist with BAU enhancements, platform evolution, and migration initiatives

• Operate within CI/CD, containerized, and Kubernetes-based environments

• Partner with a seasoned engineering team to address technical challenges and deliver robust, maintainable solutions

• Assume ownership of issues and identify as well as implement effective resolutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Mid-Senior level experience

• Extensive commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript

• Strong practical experience with Node.js

• Demonstrated experience in working with vanilla JavaScript

• In-depth knowledge of the DOM, browser APIs, and the functionality of modern browsers

• Solid software engineering principles

• Experience in developing and supporting software within production environments

• Comfortable operating with CI/CD and containers

• Familiarity with Kubernetes settings

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to take initiative

• Capable of working across frontend and backend domains

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a well-established engineering team and a complex production setting

• Strong emphasis on code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Nice to have: experience with CSS and browser layout

• Nice to have: background in digital publishing, advertising technology, or high-traffic web platforms

• Nice to have: experience with third-party script integrations

• Nice to have: familiarity with analytics platforms

• Nice to have: experience with Consent Management Platforms (CMPs)
