Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from start to finish: define the technical strategy, develop both frontend and backend components, and deploy to production.

• Create and uphold reliable, high-performance APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Develop polished and accessible frontend experiences, with a keen focus on UI/UX details.

• Implement and integrate AI-driven features, ranging from personalized learning experiences to smart compliance tools, transitioning from prototype to production.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Copilot to enhance productivity and facilitate the team's adoption of effective AI technologies.

• Set up analytics and leverage data to inform product and engineering decisions.

• Work closely with product management, design, and fellow engineers to achieve significant initiatives.

• Detect and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability challenges.

• Provide mentorship to other engineers through code reviews, collaborative work, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Significant expertise in React.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.

• Experience overseeing projects from initial concept to production, including making architectural decisions.

• A record of enhancing team standards through mentorship, code quality improvements, or process enhancements.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud services; experience with AWS is preferred.

• Knowledge of responsive design, adherence to accessibility standards, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.

• Availability to work during US timezone hours for team collaboration.

• Preferred experience in integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications.

• Preferred experience with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization.

• A background in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with compliance, security awareness, or the ed-tech sector is preferred.
