Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion: define the technical approach, develop both frontend and backend components, and deploy to production.

• Create and uphold dependable, high-performance APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Develop refined, accessible frontend interfaces with a focus on UI/UX elements.

• Implement and integrate AI-driven functionalities, ranging from tailored learning experiences to smart compliance tools, transitioning from prototype to production.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Copilot to expedite workflows and assist the team in adopting effective AI technologies.

• Implement analytics and utilize data to inform product and engineering strategies.

• Work collaboratively with product teams, designers, and fellow engineers to execute critical initiatives.

• Identify and address performance issues, technical debt, and reliability concerns.

• Provide mentorship to other engineers through code reviews, collaborative programming, and architectural insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Extensive experience with React.

• Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs and managing relational databases.

• Comfortable taking projects from idea to production, including making architectural decisions.

• Proven record of elevating team standards through mentorship, code quality, or process enhancements.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, or cloud services (AWS preferred).

• Experience with responsive design, accessibility guidelines, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Knowledge of observability tools, such as logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work during US timezone hours for effective team collaboration.

• Preferred: Experience with integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications.

• Preferred: Knowledge in A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization.

• Preferred: Background in a startup or rapid-growth environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with compliance, security awareness, or education technology sectors.
