Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of features: define the technical strategy, develop both frontend and backend components, and deploy to production.

• Create and sustain reliable, high-performance APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Develop polished, accessible frontend experiences with a focus on UI/UX details.

• Design and integrate AI-driven features, such as personalized learning experiences and intelligent compliance tools, from prototype to production.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Copilot to enhance productivity and facilitate the team's adoption of effective AI solutions.

• Implement analytics and leverage data to inform product and engineering decisions.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to execute key initiatives.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability concerns.

• Provide mentorship to other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Proficient in React.

• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and managing relational databases.

• Proven ability to oversee projects from conception to production, including making architectural compromises.

• History of elevating team standards through mentorship, code quality, or process enhancements.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud services, preferably AWS.

• Experience with responsive design, accessibility guidelines, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Knowledge of observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work during US timezone hours for effective team collaboration.

• Preferred experience in integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications.

• Experience with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization is a plus.

• Background in a startup or high-growth environment is advantageous.

• Familiarity with compliance, security awareness, or the ed-tech sector is preferred.
