Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Macedonia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from inception to deployment by defining the technical strategy, developing both frontend and backend components, and delivering to production.

• Create and uphold robust, efficient APIs, data structures, and backend solutions.

• Develop polished and accessible frontend interfaces, paying close attention to UI/UX aspects.

• Implement and integrate AI-driven features, ranging from personalized learning tools to intelligent compliance solutions, progressing from prototypes to full-scale production.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Copilot.

• Support the team in adopting effective AI technologies.

• Implement analytics and leverage data to inform product and engineering strategies.

• Work collaboratively with product management, design, and fellow engineers on significant projects.

• Identify and address performance issues, technical debt, and reliability challenges.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, collaborative programming, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Solid expertise in React.

• Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Ability to take projects from concept to production, including making architectural decisions.

• A history of enhancing team performance through mentorship, code quality improvements, or process enhancements.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud services, with a preference for AWS.

• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility guidelines, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work during US timezone hours for effective team collaboration.

• Preferred experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications.

• Preferred experience with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization.

• Background in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with compliance, security awareness, or the ed-tech sector is preferred.
