Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from inception to deployment by determining the technical approach, developing both frontend and backend components, and delivering them to production.

• Create and uphold reliable, high-performance APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Develop refined, accessible frontend experiences with a keen focus on UI/UX elements.

• Construct and integrate AI-driven features, spanning personalized learning experiences to intelligent compliance tools, from prototype to production.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Copilot to expedite development and encourage the team's adoption of effective AI solutions.

• Implement analytics and utilize data to inform product and engineering decisions.

• Work in collaboration with product, design, and fellow engineers to achieve significant initiatives.

• Detect and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability challenges.

• Guide and mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, collaborative programming, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Proficient experience with React.

• Background in designing and creating RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.

• Proven experience managing projects from concept to production, including making architectural decisions.

• History of elevating team standards through mentorship, code quality improvements, or process enhancements.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, or cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Knowledgeable in responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Readiness to work US timezone hours for team collaboration.

• Preferred experience in integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications.

• Preferred experience with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization.

• Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with compliance, security awareness, or ed-tech sectors is preferred.
