Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from start to finish: define the technical strategy, develop both frontend and backend components, and deploy to production.

• Design and uphold efficient, reliable APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Create polished and accessible frontend experiences, emphasizing UI/UX details.

• Develop and integrate AI-driven features, ranging from personalized learning experiences to intelligent compliance tools, transitioning from prototype to production.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Copilot to enhance productivity and facilitate the team's adoption of effective AI technologies.

• Implement analytics and leverage data to inform product and engineering decisions.

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to accomplish crucial initiatives.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability challenges.

• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, collaborative coding sessions, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Significant expertise in React.

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.

• Comfortable taking projects from conception to production, including making architectural decisions.

• Proven ability to elevate team standards through mentorship, code quality enhancements, or process improvements.

• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, or cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Knowledgeable in responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experienced with observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willingness to work during US timezone hours for team collaboration.

• Experience in integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications (preferred).

• Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization (preferred).

• Background in a startup or rapidly growing environment (preferred).

• Knowledge of compliance, security awareness, or the ed-tech sector (preferred).
