Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Albania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from start to finish: define the technical strategy, develop both frontend and backend components, and deploy to production.

• Create and uphold reliable, high-performance APIs, data models, and backend services.

• Develop polished and accessible frontend experiences with a focus on UI/UX details.

• Implement and integrate AI-driven features, ranging from personalized learning environments to intelligent compliance tools, from prototype to production.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Copilot to enhance productivity and assist the team in adopting effective AI solutions.

• Incorporate analytics and utilize data to inform product and engineering decisions.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to execute critical initiatives.

• Detect and address performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and reliability challenges.

• Guide and mentor other engineers through code reviews, collaborative work, and architectural advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Proficient experience in React.

• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.

• Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to production, including making architectural decisions.

• History of enhancing team performance through mentorship, code quality, or process enhancements.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, or cloud services (AWS preferred).

• Experience with responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Knowledge of observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Availability to work during US timezone hours for effective team collaboration.

• Experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML services into production applications is preferred.

• Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization, or data-driven content customization is preferred.

• Background in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred.

• Understanding of compliance, security awareness, or ed-tech domains is preferred.
