This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to create new features and improve existing applications.
• Design and implement both frontend and backend components utilizing Python and JavaScript (Node.js).
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services as required.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality through code reviews and continuous integration.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to accommodate increasing user demands.
• Utilize and build Large Language Models (LLMs) to boost underwriters' productivity.
• Troubleshoot production issues using the latest tools available.
• Help shape the direction of a small but expanding engineering team.
• Over 3 years of experience in full stack development.
• Skilled in facilitating and gathering business requirements while devising scalable engineering solutions.
• Strong capability to design data models based on business domain use cases.
• Proven track record of writing code with future maintainability and testability in mind.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated skill in effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, aligned with organizational objectives and deadlines.
• Previous experience in a startup environment.
• Experience addressing challenges related to the insurance industry or domain.
• Proficiency in web technologies and frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, Node.js).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
