This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Develop, test, maintain, and enhance full stack applications and data solutions encompassing front-end, back-end, and database layers.
• Engage throughout the software development lifecycle, covering requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Create and utilize RESTful APIs for application, data platform, and enterprise system integration.
• Construct and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines for both batch and near-real-time processing.
• Execute efficient and maintainable data transformation workflows.
• Create and support Snowflake data models, transformations, and workflows.
• Leverage Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to deploy, maintain, and enhance AWS-based solutions.
• Implement features that integrate with relational databases, S3, and associated AWS cloud resources.
• Work alongside Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, and application teams on infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and deployments.
• Monitor and resolve application, pipeline, and integration issues within development and production environments.
• Document root causes and resolution steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver application and data solutions that meet business and user requirements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. and have resided in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background check.
• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of experience.
• Four (4) years of specialized experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven experience in building full stack applications using contemporary development frameworks, relational databases, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for application development, data processing, and integration tasks.
• Practical experience in designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows.
• Familiarity with Snowflake for data modeling, transformation, and query optimization.
• Experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Background in supporting cloud-based applications and data solutions in AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and a history of collaborating with analytics, application, and platform teams in an Agile environment.
• Preferred: hands-on experience or significant training in Big Data platforms and large, complex data sets.
• Preferred: knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Preferred: familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including secure development, access controls, and auditability.
• Knowledge of SAS is a plus.
• Previous experience with the Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other government agencies is desirable.
