Full-Stack Engineer, AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and develop interfaces that enable business teams to configure agents, review agent performance, approve or amend actions, and comprehend outcomes.

• Create observability and evaluation tools to clarify agent behavior, highlighting successes, failures, and the effects of changes.

• Engage with the entire technology stack, utilizing React and TypeScript, as well as service code and data models.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, encompassing build, testing, launching, monitoring, and iteration.

• Collaborate directly with business teams to transform vague operational challenges into functional software solutions.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of projects, including enhancements post-launch.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proficient frontend development skills with React and TypeScript.

• Experience handling complex application states and data-rich interfaces.

• Strong backend engineering capabilities.

• Willingness to work with or learn Go, PHP, and Python.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational data stores, such as Postgres and DynamoDB or comparable systems.

• Good product judgment to decide what features to develop and what to exclude.

• A keen interest in non-deterministic systems, uncertainty, partial failure, and human intervention.

• Ability to navigate through ambiguity, fill knowledge gaps, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

• Must be able to work from a location that adheres to Thumbtack's remote-work policy.
