Full Stack Developer – Medical Imaging, DICOM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement features for Python applications and web platforms utilizing JavaScript and ReactJS, ensuring comprehensive unit and functional test coverage.

• Engage in the processing, storage, and visualization of medical images in accordance with the DICOM standard.

• Integrate various systems with PACS and other components within the medical imaging ecosystem.

• Utilize AWS services, such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Aurora, while crafting SQL queries.

• Assist in analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, and providing technical support.

• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a developer, demonstrating a strong level of technical seniority.

• Prior hands-on experience with DICOM, including reading, parsing, and managing studies, series, and instances.

• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/React.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems.

• Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving capabilities, and critical thinking skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.

• Proficient in English for interactions with an international team; fluency is not required, but comfort in day-to-day technical discussions is essential.

• Preferred: experience with PACS, HL7, FHIR, or healthcare interoperability.

• Preferred: background in medical image visualization, including 2D/3D rendering and web viewers.

• Preferred: experience with cloud-based applications, ideally on AWS.

• Preferred: understanding of medical software regulatory requirements, including FDA, HIPAA, and data anonymization.

• Preferred: utilization of AI tools in the development process.

• Preferred: prior experience in international companies or projects conducted in English.
