Full Stack Developer – Java, Angular, Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engineer, sustain, enhance, and securely operate mission-critical web platforms and workflow management systems for enterprise use.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, accessible, and high-performing web applications as well as RESTful integration services.

• Maintain and enhance Angular single-page applications (SPAs) using standalone components, routing, reactive forms, HTTP services, state management, and authentication/context interceptors.

• Apply USWDS standards, ensure responsive design, guarantee cross-browser compatibility, and adhere to Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidelines.

• Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and microservices utilizing controller, service, repository, and DTO architectures.

• Oversee workflow engines and state machines for managing agreement lifecycles, renewals, administrative actions, and approval chains.

• Ensure the security of electronic signature processes and manage workflows for digitally signed PDF generation, verification, archival, and retrieval.

• Handle OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, maintain backward compatibility, manage pagination, audit logging, and API versioning.

• Optimize Oracle schemas, queries, indexes, constraints, views, and JPA/Hibernate mappings.

• Maintain data ingestion pipelines, synchronization processes, validation, deduplication, quarantine rules, and outbound API feeds.

• Supervise scheduled processors for notifications, expirations, and batch processing tasks.

• Implement OAuth2/OIDC, PKI/CAC, Spring Security, RBAC, and ensure audited administrative impersonation.

• Address vulnerabilities identified by SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.

• Assist with RMF artifacts, develop POA&Ms, and support continuous ATO activities.

• Advocate for automation-first testing and test-driven development (TDD) across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and align specifications/test cases with a requirements traceability matrix (RTM).

• Provide Tier II/III application and database support, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement production fixes.

• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional Agile team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience may be evaluated.

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience covering the complete software development life cycle (SDLC).

• At least 3+ years of practical experience with Angular (v12+, preferably modern versions such as v17+) and TypeScript.

• 3+ years of backend development experience in creating secure REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot (v2.x/3.x).

• Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL query optimization, database schema design, and JPA/Hibernate ORM.

• Familiarity with RESTful API architecture, OpenAPI/Swagger, and HTTP client/interceptor design.

• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, Spring Security, and web application security practices.

• Hands-on proficiency with Git, Jira, and GitLab.

• Understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• Active DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification or higher is required.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Public Trust or favorably adjudicated Secret Clearance is required to start.

• Ability to comply with federal cybersecurity directives, OPSEC policies, and PII/CUI protection regulations.
