Full Stack Developer, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across both frontend and backend systems.

• Create product features from initial concept to deployment.

• Work alongside the Head of Product to prototype and validate innovative ideas.

• Construct customer-facing platforms, internal business tools, and client projects.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-organized code.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to engineering best practices.

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications.

• Develop responsive interfaces utilizing React and modern frontend technologies.

• Create reusable components and scalable frontend architecture.

• Convert product requirements into functional interfaces.

• Diagnose frontend issues and address performance bottlenecks.

• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Design APIs and implement business logic.

• Create secure and scalable system integrations.

• Optimize database interactions and enhance application performance.

• Implement testing, monitoring, and debugging procedures.

• Contribute to the development of the SaaS platform, including technical design and architectural decisions.

• Support experimentation, feature prototyping, and adherence to development standards.

• Responsibly utilize AI development tools and validate AI-generated code.

• Investigate bugs, technical issues, and system failures.

• Identify root causes and apply long-term solutions.

• Enhance performance, reliability, maintainability, workflows, and overall product quality.

• Document technical decisions and implementation specifics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be Filipino and based in the Philippines.

• 3–5+ years of experience in roles such as Full Stack Developer or Software Engineer.

• Proven commercial experience with React.

• Proven commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, architecture, and development best practices.

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining production-grade web applications.

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with APIs and backend services.

• Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Comfortable navigating evolving requirements and ambiguity.

• Experience collaborating effectively with product stakeholders and non-technical team members.

• Highly preferred: Experience with Next.js, PostgreSQL, Supabase (including Row Level Security), Vercel, Python, SaaS products, early engineering hires or startup environments, AI-powered development tools and workflows, system architecture, and platform design discussions.

• Must disclose any ongoing roles or client commitments.

• Must represent this engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
