Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, test, and deploy features and bug fixes in two-week cycles.

• Develop REST APIs and integrate with VA enterprise services, including ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Create unit and integration tests.

• Ensure code scanning with SonarQube and Fortify remains successful in CI/CD.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and container deployment.

• Provide Tier 3 support, including code modifications, bug fixes, and security adjustments.

• Adhere to secure coding practices as outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js.

• At least 2 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices related to RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 additional years of experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Capability to secure a VA PIV credential.

• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect, or Azure Developer or DevOps Engineer; SAFe Practitioner certifications preferred.

• ServiceNow track: CSA and CAD certifications.

• Preferred experience with Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications for VALIP.

• ServiceNow/Nuvolo track: 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development.

• Maximo track: 3+ years of experience with IBM Maximo configuration and integration.

• Experience with HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integration; VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Development of Section 508 compliant user interfaces.
