Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and implement features and bug fixes in bi-weekly sprints.

• Create REST APIs and integrate with VA enterprise services, including ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Develop unit and integration tests.

• Ensure code scanning tools like SonarQube and Fortify are compliant in CI/CD processes.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and containerized environments.

• Provide Tier 3 support, including code modifications, defect fixes, and security remediation.

• Adhere to secure coding practices as outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack development utilizing Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js.

• At least 2 years of experience in software development.

• Experience with REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices according to RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in place of the degree for highly qualified candidates.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Capability to secure a VA PIV credential.

• For ServiceNow track: Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow development experience.

• For Maximo track: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IBM Maximo configuration and integration.

• Proficiency in HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integration; experience with VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Experience in developing Section 508 compliant user interfaces.

• Certification as an AWS Developer or Solutions Architect, or Azure Developer or DevOps Engineer; SAFe Practitioner certification is a plus.

• For ServiceNow track: CSA and CAD certifications are required.

• Preference for candidates with Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications certification for VALIP.
