Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features and bug fixes in two-week sprints.

• Create REST APIs and integrate with VA enterprise services, such as ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Compose unit and integration tests.

• Ensure successful code scans using SonarQube and Fortify within CI/CD pipelines.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and container hosting environments.

• Provide Tier 3 support, including code modifications, defect resolutions, and security improvements.

• Adhere to secure coding standards outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Comply with Section 508 accessibility guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js.

• At least 2 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Secure coding experience in accordance with RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Capability to acquire a VA PIV credential.

• Certifications or knowledge in AWS Developer, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or SAFe Practitioner.

• For ServiceNow track: 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience; CSA and CAD certifications.

• For Maximo track: 3+ years of configuration and integration experience with IBM Maximo.

• Experience with HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integration; VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Development of Section 508 accessible user interfaces.

• Preference for Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications experience for VALIP.
