Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and implement features and bug fixes within bi-weekly sprints.

• Create REST APIs and integrate with VA enterprise services, including ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Develop unit and integration tests.

• Ensure code quality by maintaining passing scores in SonarQube and Fortify within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and container-based deployment.

• Provide Tier 3 support, which includes code modifications, defect resolution, and security remediation.

• Adhere to secure coding standards outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Comply with Section 508 accessibility guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js.

• At least 2 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices in accordance with RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 additional years of experience may be accepted for highly qualified candidates.

• Capability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Eligibility to obtain a VA PIV credential.

• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification, or Azure Developer or DevOps Engineer certification; SAFe Practitioner certification is also desirable.

• ServiceNow track: CSA and CAD certifications are required.

• Preferred: Over 3 years of ServiceNow development experience.

• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in IBM Maximo configuration and integration.

• Preferred: Experience with HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integrations.

• Preferred: Experience with VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Preferred: Development of Section 508 compliant user interfaces.

• Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications certification is preferred for VALIP roles.
