Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and bug fixes in two-week sprints.

• Create REST APIs and establish integrations with VA enterprise services, such as ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Develop unit and integration tests.

• Ensure code scanning using SonarQube and Fortify remains successful in CI/CD processes.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and container-based hosting.

• Provide Tier 3 support, including code modifications, bug fixes, and security remediation.

• Adhere to secure coding standards as outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Implement Section 508 accessibility requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js (Mid / Level II / “Journeyman”).

• A minimum of 2 years of software development experience.

• Proficiency in REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices in accordance with RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• Capability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Eligibility to obtain a VA PIV credential.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect, Azure Developer or DevOps Engineer, or SAFe Practitioner certification.

• For the ServiceNow track: CSA and CAD certifications.

• For the ServiceNow track: More than 3 years of ServiceNow development experience.

• For the Maximo track: Over 3 years of experience in IBM Maximo configuration and integration.

• Experience with HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integration.

• Familiarity with VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Experience in developing Section 508 compliant user interfaces.

• Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications certification is preferred for VALIP-related roles.
