Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, test, and release features as well as address defects during two-week sprints.

• Create REST APIs and integrate with VA enterprise services, which include ESB, HL7, FHIR, and VALIP.

• Construct unit and integration tests.

• Ensure that code scanning using SonarQube and Fortify maintains compliance in CI/CD processes.

• Refactor legacy applications for VAEC and container deployments.

• Provide Tier 3 support, which involves code alterations, defect resolutions, and security enhancements.

• Adhere to secure coding protocols as outlined in VA Handbook 6500.

• Comply with Section 508 accessibility guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack development experience with Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, or Node.js.

• More than 2 years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in REST APIs, unit testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices in line with RMF / VA Handbook 6500.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent of 4 additional years of experience for well-qualified candidates.

• Ability to secure a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Eligibility to obtain a VA PIV credential.

• Certifications in AWS Developer or Solutions Architect, Azure Developer or DevOps Engineer, or SAFe Practitioner are preferred.

• ServiceNow experience: Over 3 years of ServiceNow development; CSA and CAD certifications required.

• Maximo experience: More than 3 years in IBM Maximo configuration and integration.

• Background in HL7, FHIR, ESB, or VALIP integrations.

• Experience with VAEC (AWS/Azure) and container technologies.

• Development of Section 508 compliant user interfaces.

• Red Hat Cloud-Native Applications certification is preferred for VALIP-related roles.
