Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain full-stack functionalities utilizing a NestJS/GraphQL backend and an Angular 18 frontend.

• Create and enhance data transformation pipelines from MongoDB to SQL using dbt for analytics and reporting purposes.

• Collaborate across microservice boundaries, focusing on service design, API contracts, and data modeling.

• Contribute to cloud-native infrastructure deployed on Kubernetes, utilizing Helm for deployments in conjunction with DevOps practices.

• Investigate and identify root causes of data integrity issues in both production and non-production environments.

• Engage in architectural discussions and proactively address design and scalability challenges.

• Work closely with QA and product teams to rectify defects with comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

• Develop the data pipelines, services, and interfaces that support SS&C's property management platform, including leases, properties, accounting, payments, and client reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of full-stack development experience (10 years preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Robust backend experience with Node.js/NestJS, or similar experience with .NET Core or Go, with a clear progression towards NestJS.

• Frontend experience using Angular (Angular 7 or newer).

• Familiarity with MongoDB or other document stores, along with a proven ability to transition data into relational/SQL models.

• Knowledge of microservice architecture and REST/GraphQL API design.

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.

• Implementation of security measures in application code, including authentication, permissions, and data handling.

• Ownership of problems from start to finish: design, build, test, deploy, and support.

• Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor on a daily basis.

• Capability to write specifications and prompts, guide an agent through multi-step modifications, and critically assess outputs for accuracy, security, and adherence to team standards.

• Preferred: Experience with dbt.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Angular 18 and Nx monorepo.

• Preferred: Kubernetes certification, such as CKAD.

• Preferred: Experience with GraphQL.

• Preferred: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions, along with Helm chart authoring.

• Preferred: Proven history of diagnosing production data integrity issues.

• Preferred: Previous experience in property management, financial services, or other regulated, data-intensive fields.
