Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance essential enterprise web applications.

• Refactor and transfer legacy web applications and workflows from Microsoft SharePoint Subscriber Edition on-premises to open-source technology stacks hosted on AWS.

• Utilize AI to improve legacy code.

• Create front-end and back-end code that is efficient, accessible, and secure.

• Upgrade legacy application interfaces into secure cloud-based architectures.

• Address findings from automated security pipelines.

• Establish resilient and error-tolerant workflows that support operational continuity.

• Collaborate as part of the DevSecOps team.

• Construct code layers with redundancy, error handling, and failover capabilities.

• Support critical FAA functions that require high availability under a FISMA Moderate framework.

• Transform legacy SharePoint pages, Master Pages, InfoPath forms, and web parts into open-source UI frameworks.

• Substitute proprietary SharePoint server-side and client-side object models with RESTful API architectures.

• Break down monolithic logic into microservices or serverless applications.

• Transition SharePoint content and list data to relational databases.

• Rework SharePoint workflows into AWS Step Functions or event-driven serverless architectures.

• Deploy and enhance applications within AWS GovCloud and AWS Outposts.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines with automated SAST/DAST security scans.

• Align SharePoint permissions and Active Directory security groups with AWS federated identity services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field).

• 5 years of experience in comprehensive web application development across the full stack.

• Demonstrated expertise in refactoring monolithic/legacy platforms and migrating workloads to AWS.

• 3 or more years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining complex, responsive, and accessible web interfaces.

• Experience in modernizing legacy SharePoint pages, customized Master Pages, InfoPath forms, and web parts.

• Profound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, Node.js, or Python.

• Experience in designing secure, modular RESTful APIs.

• Experience in replacing SharePoint SSOM and CSOM with open-source API architectures.

• Experience in decomposing monolithic logic into microservices or serverless applications.

• Experience analyzing SharePoint site hierarchies, document libraries, lists, and item-level permissions.

• Experience migrating SharePoint list data into relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Amazon RDS.

• Experience refactoring SharePoint workflows into AWS Step Functions or serverless event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and AWS Outposts.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Strong proficiency in OWASP Top 10 secure coding principles.

• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and FISMA Moderate.

• Experience addressing pipeline scan findings.

• Experience aligning SharePoint permissions and Active Directory security groups with AWS IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center, OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.

• Secret Clearance.

• CompTIA Security+ certification required within 6 months of hire to meet IAM-II compliance.

• AWS Certified Developer (Associate) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) preferred.

• Professional certifications in React, Angular, or Vue preferred.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time.
