Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications utilizing Java.

• Create backend services, APIs, and application components that support data-driven applications.

• Construct complex and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, analysis, and reporting.

• Develop Python scripts and applications to facilitate data processing, automation, integration, and operational workflows.

• Design and implement analytical solutions using Cube.js, including data models, measures, dimensions, and semantic layers.

• Integrate Cube.js with backend services, databases, and front-end analytical applications.

• Develop reusable data models and APIs that provide consistent and efficient access to enterprise data.

• Collaborate with data engineers and database teams to enhance data structures, queries, and application performance.

• Diagnose application, database, data integration, and analytical issues, implementing effective solutions.

• Engage in architecture, design reviews, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

• Create automated unit and integration tests.

• Support application integration with enterprise databases, APIs, and additional data sources.

• Apply best practices concerning security, scalability, performance, version control, and documentation.

• Operate within an Agile development environment alongside cross-functional technical teams.

• Analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into software and analytical solutions.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to architecture, development processes, and analytical capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 3 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java and object-oriented programming.

• Extensive experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

• Practical experience with Python for application development, automation, or data processing.

• Hands-on experience with Cube.js, particularly in developing semantic/data models and analytical solutions.

• Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and backend services.

• Understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.

• Familiarity with Git-based version control and contemporary software development methodologies.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to secure a Public Trust security clearance.

• Preferred: experience in developing data analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization applications.

• Preferred: experience integrating Cube.js with Java, Python, REST APIs, and relational databases.

• Preferred: experience in cloud-based application development, especially with AWS.

• Preferred: experience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.

• Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated software deployments.

• Preferred: experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Preferred: experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Preferred: familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and enterprise analytics architectures.
