Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications utilizing Java.

• Create backend services, APIs, and application components to support data-centric applications.

• Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, analysis, and reporting purposes.

• Develop Python scripts and applications aimed at data processing, automation, integration, and operational workflows.

• Design and implement analytics solutions using Cube.js, which includes data models, measures, dimensions, and semantic layers.

• Integrate Cube.js with backend services, databases, and front-end analytics applications.

• Create reusable data models and APIs for consistent and efficient access to enterprise data.

• Work collaboratively with data engineers and database teams to enhance data structures, queries, and application performance.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to applications, databases, data integration, and analytics.

• Engage in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

• Develop automated unit and integration tests.

• Facilitate application integration with enterprise databases, APIs, and other data sources.

• Implement best practices concerning security, scalability, performance, version control, and documentation.

• Operate within an Agile development environment alongside cross-functional technical teams.

• Analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into software and analytics solutions.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to architecture, development processes, and analytics capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong practical experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles.

• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

• Hands-on experience with Python for application development, automation, or data processing.

• Familiarity with Cube.js, including the development of semantic/data models and analytics solutions.

• Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and backend services.

• Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.

• Proficient in using Git-based version control and modern software development methodologies.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
