This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements with study sites following local/accepted procedures.
• Negotiate investigator grant budgets, along with contractual terms and conditions within approved limits and established escalation processes.
• Ensure adherence to negotiation parameters, authority approvals, contractual procedures, client expectations, budgetary guidelines, templates, and processes.
• Identify and evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating them as necessary.
• Offer recommendations and alternative solutions for Investigator Contracts negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal functional departments to synchronize site startup activities with contractual obligations and agreed timelines.
• Align contract negotiation processes for sites and studies with the critical path for site activation.
• Meet target cycle times for site activations.
• Ensure that guidelines and processes are adhered to for the efficient escalation of out-of-parameter issues.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Prior experience that equips the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the role (equivalent to 2-5 years).
• In certain circumstances, an equivalency made up of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered adequate for an individual to meet the role's requirements.
• Solid understanding of contract law principles, including a general grasp of laws that impact contract language, such as business, intellectual property, and local tax and stamp laws.
• Proven ability to apply the fundamental principles of investigator grant negotiation.
• General understanding of business and financial principles related to service agreements.
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and the local language.
• Capable, with suitable oversight, of drafting and negotiating contract provisions and budgetary matters within established parameters.
• Proven attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical product development process and the role of CROs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Familiarity with PPD SOP & WPDs.
• Able to logically organize competing priorities and review outstanding contractual risks and issues.
• Proficient in using automated systems and computer applications.
• Ability to demonstrate a customer-focused communication style, problem-solving skills, and collaboration.
• Capability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours daily.
• Repetitive hand movements using both hands, with the capacity to perform fast, simple, repeated motions of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Frequent mobility is required.
• Occasional crouching and stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of the upper body and neck.
• Light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects, including luggage and a laptop, with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
• Ability to access and utilize a variety of computer software, both in-house and commercial.
