Freelance Web Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop exceptional web designs tailored for practical applications within the Tendem project.

• Create high-converting one-page sites, pitch-style landing pages, and straightforward marketing websites from textual content, outlines, or existing drafts.

• Convert brand assets and social media graphics into responsive web layouts, organized components, and sections ready for developers or no-code utilization.

• Prepare and securely package production-ready files, ensuring the organization of Figma frames, asset exports, and detailed specifications.

• Maintain visual coherence across interactive web pages, static PDFs, and promotional materials.

• Confirm responsiveness, spacing, clarity, and compliance with contemporary web design trends prior to delivery.

• Take ownership of the aesthetic and functionality of web materials, ensuring alignment with the overall brand ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in web design, UI design, digital marketing design, or visual communications is preferred.

• A robust portfolio that prominently features landing pages, marketing websites, and product or startup one-pagers.

• Proven experience in transforming rough prompts, AI-generated drafts, or existing brand frameworks into structured, implementation-ready web designs.

• A user-centric and conversion-oriented approach.

• Capability to work independently.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma for creating scalable, responsive web layouts, auto-layout components, and comprehensive design systems.

• Expertise in developing high-converting, pitch-style landing pages.

• Knowledge of preparing, specifying, and packaging digital assets for implementation through developers or no-code platforms like Webflow and Framer.

• Ability to adapt brand aesthetics across web pages, social media materials, and pitch decks.

• Strong attention to clarity, white space, and current web layout trends.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the capability to troubleshoot autonomously.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher is mandatory.

• Your CV must include a link to a portfolio showcasing web design examples; applications lacking a portfolio link or relevant web design cases will not be considered.
