Freelance Translator, English to Vietnamese – Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Create and finalize translated products prior to delivery to clients.

• Translate from English to Vietnamese.

• Handle materials within the Technical sector.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Address the translation requirements of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.

• Specialized knowledge in Technical fields, such as Information Technology, Electronics, or Manufacturing.

• Strong attention to detail regarding spelling and grammar.

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants are required to complete free Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with substantial translation training from a recognized higher education institution; OR

• Two years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• Five years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by an appropriate government authority.

• The most recent CV must detail relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience along with proposed per-word rates in USD.
