Freelance Translator – English to Vietnamese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Create and finalize translated content prior to delivery to clients.

• Translate documents from English into Vietnamese.

• Work with materials related to Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Retail.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Address the translation needs of international clients.

• Complete Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM tests as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.

• Expertise in Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Retail sectors.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Ability to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Required to complete Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM tests.

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or a similar degree with substantial translation training from an accredited institution; OR

• Two years of translation experience accompanied by a college degree; OR

• Five years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• Certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• Proficiency in English-to-Vietnamese translation.

• Latest CV must reflect pertinent Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience along with proposed per-word rates in USD.
