Freelance Translator, English to Vietnamese – Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated deliverables prior to client delivery.

• Translate content from English to Vietnamese.

• Handle technical documents related to sectors such as Information Technology, Electronics, and Manufacturing.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Address the translation requirements of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.

• Expertise in technical domains, including Information Technology, Electronics, or Manufacturing.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Capability to uphold professionalism in all scenarios, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants are required to complete complimentary Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with significant translation training from an accredited higher education institution; OR

• 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of proficiency in translation granted by a relevant government authority.

• CV must detail relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience.

• CV must specify proposed Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading rates per word in USD.
