Freelance Translator, English to Vietnamese – Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients

• Create and finalize the deliverable before submission to the client

• Operate under the supervision of a manager and work collaboratively with Project Managers

• Translate content from English to Vietnamese in Life Sciences areas, including Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Technical, Clinical Patient-facing, and Clinical Outcome Assessment

• Include relevant experience in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM in your CV

• Provide proposed rates for Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading on a per-word basis in USD

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese

• Expertise in Life Science fields

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar

• Ability to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines

• Applicants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement

• Completion of free Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments is mandatory

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with substantial translation training from an accredited higher education institution; OR

• Two years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• Five years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by an appropriate governmental authority

• Experience in English-to-Vietnamese translation within the Life Sciences domain
