Spanish Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish through over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI).

• Provide interpretation services in various contexts, including medical, social services, customer care, and financial environments.

• Facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients.

• Operate remotely from home within a structured five-day work week, enjoying two days off.

• Stay available in the queue and accurately manage interpretation calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven prior experience in remote OPI/VRI interpretation is essential.

• Established expertise in remote English-Spanish OPI/VRI interpretation.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with patient confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.

• Native-level proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• Outstanding active listening skills.

• Direct Ethernet connection to the router is required; Wi-Fi is not acceptable.

• A client-approved USB headset is mandatory; Bluetooth, mono, and built-in microphones are not allowed.

• Acceptable headset models include Logitech H390, Jabra GN, Jabra Evolve, Microsoft LifeChat LX-6000, Plantronics Blackwire C3220, Dell Plantronics, and HP Stereo USB Headset G2.

• Must have an Intel i5 processor, 6th Generation or newer.

• A 720p or 1080p webcam is required.

• An updated browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox is necessary.
