Freelance Translator, English to Vietnamese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated materials prior to client delivery.

• Translate content from English into Vietnamese.

• Assist with translation requirements for international clients in the fields of Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Retail.

• Collaborate effectively with the manager and Project Managers.

• Complete Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments to showcase skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities in Vietnamese.

• Expertise in Marketing, Corporate Communication, and Retail sectors.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Capacity to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates are required to complete complimentary Translation, MTPE, and/or Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with substantial translation training from a recognized higher education institution; OR

• A minimum of 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• At least 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• The latest CV should detail pertinent Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience, along with proposed per-word rates in USD.
