Freelance Traditional Chinese to English Investment Banking Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Translate documents from Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) into English.

• Review documents related to Investment Banking clients for accuracy.

• Produce and finalize the completed product prior to client delivery.

• Collaborate with managers and Project Managers effectively.

• Assist in fulfilling the translation requirements of international clients.

• Execute translation and proofreading tasks within strict deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).

• Expertise in Investment Banking, specifically in Market Commentary.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly in spelling and grammar.

• Capacity to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, especially when facing tight deadlines.

• Preference for candidates located in the Asian time zone.

• Candidates must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Completion of Translation and Proofreading assessments is required.

• Undergoing a background check is mandatory for applicants.

• Relevant experience in Translation and Proofreading is essential.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification with substantial translation training from a recognized institution; or 2 years of translation experience alongside a college degree; or 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; or a government-recognized certificate of competence in translation.

• The latest CV must detail relevant Translation and Proofreading experience along with proposed rates for translation per word and proofreading per hour in USD.
