Freelance Study Coordinator – Oncology, Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in unscripted, compassionate discussions with cancer patients regarding available clinical trial options.

• Clearly articulate the objectives, procedures, and potential risks of clinical trials in a manner that is understandable to patients.

• Present pertinent studies based on general criteria such as cancer type, treatment context, and geographical location.

• Facilitate informed dialogues between patients and their healthcare providers.

• Organize initial communications between physicians and research facilities when a trial may be applicable.

• Uphold ethical communication standards and prioritize patient autonomy.

• Ensure accurate documentation and confidentiality in all patient interactions.

• Act as a liaison among cancer patients, their treating physicians, and clinical trial sites.

• Assist patients in comprehending and contemplating participation in research.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) – mandatory.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in oncology, clinical trials, or patient education.

• Previous experience in oncology trials or patient recruitment is highly advantageous.

• Understanding of clinical trial processes, patient navigation, or healthcare communication.

• Proficiency in German – essential.

• Proficient in English – essential.

• Proficient in Spanish – a plus.

• Compassionate and professional communicator comfortable discussing sensitive topics.

• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.

• Capable of explaining medical concepts without offering clinical advice.

• Adherence to ethical boundaries and patient autonomy is essential.
