Freelance Study Coordinator – Oncology, Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Engage in unscripted, compassionate discussions with cancer patients regarding available clinical trial options.

• Articulate the objectives, procedures, and potential risks of clinical trials in language that patients can comprehend.

• Recommend pertinent studies based on general criteria, including cancer type, treatment context, and geographical location.

• Foster informed conversations between patients and their healthcare providers.

• Facilitate initial communication between healthcare professionals and research sites when a trial may be appropriate.

• Uphold ethical communication standards while honoring patient autonomy.

• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain confidentiality throughout all patient interactions.

• Assist patients in navigating clinical trial options and connecting with research opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) – mandatory.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology, clinical trials, or patient education.

• Previous participation in oncology trials or patient recruitment is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of clinical trial processes, patient navigation, or healthcare communication is essential.

• Fluency in German – required.

• Proficient in English – required.

• Proficiency in Spanish – preferred.

• Compassionate and professional communicator adept at handling sensitive subjects.

• Strong organizational and coordination capabilities.

• Ability to clarify medical concepts without dispensing clinical advice.

• Respectful of ethical limits and patient autonomy.
