Freelance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee various client projects spanning different industries and time zones, ensuring that the scope, timelines, and budgets are maintained effectively.

• Establish project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with clients.

• Facilitate client discovery phases to comprehend business requirements prior to development commencement.

• Decompose intricate requirements into actionable iterations for engineering teams.

• Preserve project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps meticulously.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and reviews.

• Keep clients informed with regular updates regarding project status, potential risks, and key decisions.

• Define the scope and pricing of engagements, aid in proposal development, and assist in presales activities.

• Collaborate with design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure that features align with client expectations and user requirements.

• Assess project health by leveraging KPIs and proactively identifying risks.

• Validate completed features against agreed-upon requirements prior to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a digital agency context.

• Practical experience with the presales process, including drafting proposals, scoping projects, and facilitating discovery workshops.

• A solid understanding of digital product development and a product management perspective.

• Experience in managing backlogs, crafting user stories, and operating within an Agile delivery framework.

• Capability to question client requirements and advocate for solutions that address the core business issues.

• Proficiency in managing multiple projects and clients concurrently.

• A background in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar platforms.

• Ability to operate across US and European time zones effectively.

• Fluent in English at C1 level or above, with excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for client interactions.

• Experience collaborating with distributed international teams across various countries and time zones.
