Freelance Product Owner — German-speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Management of ongoing SLA engagements within the B-works client portfolio

• Prioritization and organization of support requests, bug reports, and change proposals

• Ensuring adherence to agreed response times for critical, high, and medium priority issues

• Proactive monitoring of the budget with transparent reporting

• Development and maintenance of user stories, bugs, and acceptance criteria in Jira

• Sprint planning and task prioritization in collaboration with the development team

• Organizing and facilitating innovation workshops to identify valuable features

• Assisting with CMS upgrades, technical migrations, and AI integrations

• Acting as the primary point of contact for end clients during daily operations

• Conducting status meetings and generating reports

• Managing expectations and addressing change requests

• Facilitating coordination between clients and development teams

• Overseeing the development team within the framework of SLA commitments

• Collaborating closely with the Key Account Manager

• Ensuring quality assurance and coordinating testing

• Managing time tracking and invoicing processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in German

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• At least 5 years of experience in project management or product ownership within a digital agency or a similar environment

• Experience with CMS web projects (Drupal or similar)

• Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Demonstrated reliability and commitment across multiple projects

• Proficiency in writing user stories, managing bugs, and defining acceptance criteria in line with best practices

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Miro

• Understanding of technical web projects and terminology, including CMS, APIs, hosting, and accessibility

• Budget-conscious approach within defined hour limits

• Confident communication skills with clients at the C-level

• Hands-on mentality; proactive and solution-focused

• Resilience in managing competing priorities

• Advantageous: Specific experience with Drupal

• Advantageous: Strong understanding of Swiss German

• Advantageous: Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly with cantonal hospitals or similar public institutions

• Advantageous: Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG AA) and data protection laws (nDSG/DSG)

• Advantageous: Experience leading innovation workshops or discovery formats
