Freelance Mid-Level AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Apply retrieval-augmented generation methodologies to tailor LLMs for effective business applications.

• Utilize AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or comparable APIs to integrate generative AI into current systems.

• Develop AI-driven tools that enhance operational efficiency, support decision-making, and improve customer workflows.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to preprocess and manage data for model inputs while maintaining security and compliance.

• Oversee and improve LLM deployments in scalable and dependable environments.

• Partner with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to provide practical AI solutions.

• Produce comprehensive documentation and clarify technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Create and launch production-ready applications utilizing LLMs, RAG, and cloud AI platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing applications using Python.

• Practical experience in building or deploying applications based on LLMs.

• Familiarity with RAG, OpenAI/AWS Bedrock APIs, or similar Generative AI frameworks.

• Experience in integrating AI solutions into live production environments or business applications.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• 1–3 years or more of relevant experience in Software, Data, or ML Engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

• Knowledge of integration with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Demonstrated interest in LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and applied AI through project work or previous deployments.

• Capability to take a project from its prototype stage to full delivery, optimizing for both performance and business value.

• Strong communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and an agile mindset.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.

• A PhD is not required.
