Senior AI Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and develop AI agents and workflows that address specific business challenges.

• Assume technical leadership for applied AI solutions, encompassing architectural choices, engineering standards, and code quality.

• Construct enterprise-level solutions utilizing contemporary AI platforms, primarily Azure.

• Establish environments for scalable agentic workloads, including GenAIOps, CI/CD, observability, systematic evaluation, and cost management.

• Collaborate with customers on their data ecosystems, covering data pipelines, retrieval, data quality, sensitive data management, and access controls.

• Integrate AI solutions into existing IT infrastructures of clients and transition them to operational teams.

• Aid pre-sales activities through technical scoping and effort estimations.

• Enhance customers' AI capabilities via workshops and training sessions.

• Foster team growth through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical mentorship.

• Assess appropriate technologies, shape customer interactions, and transform prototypes into enterprise-level solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in building and deploying AI solutions in production environments, rather than just prototypes.

• Hands-on experience with LLM-based systems: RAG, agents, or similar applied GenAI projects.

• Strong software engineering capabilities in Python, including testing, code organization, APIs, and CI/CD.

• Solid understanding of cloud-based AI architectures and production settings, preferably within Azure.

• Familiarity with data engineering and integration principles.

• Methodical approach to quality assurance and systematic evaluation of AI systems.

• Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Professional proficiency in both German and English.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Azure AI services and GenAIOps/MLOps tools.

• Nice to have: Experience in classical machine learning using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.

• Nice to have: Prior experience in consulting or customer-facing technology projects.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of AI governance or model evaluation.

• Nice to have: Experience in mentoring engineers or leading technical workstreams.
