Freelance Game LQA Tester, English – Russian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Conduct Language Quality Assurance (LQA) to detect and rectify grammar, spelling, terminology, and stylistic discrepancies

• Review and proofread in-game text, user interface elements, dialogue scripts, and other localized materials

• Identify, document, and report translation inaccuracies, contextual misuses, display issues, and formatting errors

• Assess the quality, naturalness, fluency, and cultural appropriateness of localized content

• Maintain the original tone and voice of the content while adapting it to align with cultural expectations

• Engage in creative discussions and contribute linguistic insights for narrative development

• Collaborate with the Localization Project Management team regarding timelines, deliverables, and linguistic resources

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Russian and fluent in English

• Over 2 years of experience in LQA testing (English ↔ Russian)

• Strong cultural insight into both English- and Russian-speaking markets

• Familiarity with localization tools and content management systems

• Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-first approach

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude in cross-functional collaborations

• Enthusiasm for gaming and awareness of mobile gaming trends

• A background in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is advantageous

• Eligibility to work in China
